Our Mission
100 Pretty Purses for Female Veterans provides new purses filled with personal-care essentials, gift cards, and handwritten notes of gratitude to women veterans experiencing hardship or transitioning out of service in the greater Chicago area.
Many women veterans carry their entire lives in one bag as they move between shelters, transitional housing, and new homes. A beautiful, well-made purse of her own says: you are seen, and you are valued.
What We Do
Dignity Purses New purses filled with hygiene items, cosmetics, and care essentials, assembled by local volunteers.
Holiday Drives Seasonal collection drives with community partners, churches, and scout troops across the south suburbs.
Veteran Outreach Coordination with VA social workers and veteran service officers to reach women in need.
Notes of Gratitude Every purse carries a handwritten thank-you card from a community member.
